Lionhead opgekocht

En wel door niemand minder dan Microsoft (Game Studios, MGS). De ontwikkelaar van onder andere The Movies en Fable is nu in bezit van Microsoft. Lionhead Studios stond en staat onder leiding van de welbekende Peter Molyneux, dewelke onder andere bekend is van het welbekende Black and White. De laatste tijd ging het een stuk minder met de studio, mede door slechte verkopen van hun recente games. Men heeft sinds de aankondiging van de overname nog niet gesproken over eventuele games die in ontwikkeling zijn. Wel kunnen we stellen dat er dus géén games van Lionhead Studios meer zullen verschijnen voor de next-gen consoles en de handhelds van zowel Nintendo als Sony, waardoor de overname niet alleen invloed heeft op Microsoft. Tot slot nog wat gebabbel van Lionhead en MGS. Peter Molyneux: "We could not be more excited about being part of MGS.
