MP6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Go!

Dat Mario Party 6 eraan kwam was al zeker, maar nu is er een pers bericht opgedoken waarin de game echt wordt aangekondigd. Daarin staat ook info over de add-on voor de GameCube die de gameplay van de MP serie moet gaan verversen. Op de boards van IGN heeft een member 45 minuten geleden het volgende persbericht geplaatst. Of het een echt persbericht van Nintendo zelf is, is niet 100% zeker, maar het volgende was de inhoud:

"Mario Party animals rejoice - Mario Party 6 takes the crowd-pleasing series to the next level with more than 75 all-new mini-games, six fresh game boards and a Nintendo GameCube Mic. 
Clash with your friends in party-rockin' mini-games like Mowtown, Catch You Letter, Astaroad Rage and Cashapult. 

A new day and night system gives game boards and mini-games a split personality! Boards transform, characters emerge from hiding and mini-games change dramatically depending on the time of day. 

The game comes with a Nintendo GameCube Mic. Now you can control some furiously fun mini-game action with the sound of your voice. 

Faster movement: Speed around the board! Now there's less down time between turns and mini-games! 

Game Storyline: The Mario Party series returns with more of everything. In the single-player Story mode, Brighton and Twila – otherwise known as the sun and the moon – are embroiled in a bitter feud over who's more impressive. It’s up to Mario and his party-hearty cohorts to settle the spat and restore order to the cosmos. Multiplayer Party mode features more than 75 all-new mini-games and six game boards. 

Characters: Mario™, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi®, Daisy, Wario™, Waluigi, Boo, Koopa Kid, Bowser, Donkey Kong® and Toad. 

How to progress through the game: In Party mode, players take turns traveling around game boards while competing with friends (or CPU players) for coins and stars in frantic mini-games! Story mode offers a strong single-player experience. In Mic mode, players speak into the Mic to answer questions in a game show. 

Special powers/weapons/moves/features: Included Nintendo GameCube Mic gives gamers the power to play mini-games by issuing voice commands, and lightning-fast movement around the board gives Mario Party 6 a much faster feel than previous games in the series." 

In het kort: -MP6 zal 75 mini games bevatten. -MP6 zal 6 boards bevatten. -Een dag en nacht systeem zal het lopen over de boards weer de moeite waard moeten maken. -De gameplay zal een stuk sneller verlopen -De compleet nieuwe GameCube Microfoon zal de gameplay moeten verrijken. De add-on waar al voor de E3 over werd gesproken is dus blijkbaar een microfoon geworden. Dit terwijl er verwacht werd dat er een soort Eye-toy achtige add-on zou komen, zoals de plaatjes bij een in juni geregistreerd patent ons lieten denken. Waarheid of niet, we zullen het binnenkort waarschijnlijk weten als Nintendo de game zelf aankondigd op hun website. Update: IGN bevestigd het nu zelf ook, zoals hier te lezen is. Mario Party 6 zal dus zeker met een microfoon gaan werken.
