Never-before-seen content like the new “Soul of Chaos” dungeon and bonus “Soul of Rebirth” story expand your Final Fantasy experience. Every time you step into the new dungeon, the floor shuffles at random for new challenges. These new additions add many hours of excitement.

• Final Fantasy defined the role-playing genre. One of the first and most popular role-playing games ever, Final Fantasy tells the story of a kingdom in turmoil and the heroes who save it. Filled with side quests and regions to explore, the game successfully mixed fantasy and adventure, introduced many groundbreaking innovations and allowed players to build the characters of their party over the course of the game.

• Final Fantasy II follows the adventures of a band of freedom fighters struggling against an oppressive empire. In addition to a robust party system, the game now swaps out members of players’ parties, allowing them to experience an even grander story and more characters.

• Besides improving the battle, magic, control and game systems, Final Fantasy I and II also feature updated dialogue and enhanced story drama. Players also can receive items from slain monsters and save their game progress anywhere in the game.

Final Fantasy

Four young Light Warriors, each possessing a darkened orb that they must light, fight to restore order to their chaotic world. Swords and sorcery aid them on this quest.

Bonus Dungeon: Soul of Chaos:
Buried within the world of Final Fantasy are four mysterious dungeons. Although you can enter these dungeons at any time, you will see only a small room and nothing will happen at the beginning. However, every time you beat one of four Chaos forms, its soul unlocks one of the dungeons. The layout of the dungeon changes every time you enter it. Inside, you will find monsters from Final Fantasy 3-6, as well as rare and powerful items. At the end of the dungeon, you must face the Chaos that you had previously defeated, although it has transformed then into a powerful Evil Soul. Once you beat the Evil Soul and clear the dungeon, you can claim the rare treasures. The mission of the Warriors of Light is to clear all four dungeons.

Final Fantasy II

The empire of Palamecia has a launched campaign of destruction in its mad quest to conquer the world. The only ones who stand in its way are a group of orphans: Firion, Maria, Guy and a handful of other members of a small resistance organized by Princess Hilda of Fynn. When the town of Fynn is razed by the empire, the young heroes begin a perilous journey to free their world from the empire’s oppression.

New Storyline:
Soul of Rebirth: In Final Fantasy II’s main story, Minwu, Scott, Josef and Ricard are all killed, leaving the fate of the world in Firion’s hands. While Firion and his allies battle the emperor in Final Fantasy II, the fallen heroes fight their own battle in another world. It’s up to the four slain heroes to defeat the emperor of Pandaemonium.

Characters:
Firion, Maria and Guy are the main heroes. Various characters fill the fourth slot over the course of the story, including Minwu, Josef, Ricard and Gordon. Princess Hilda of Fynn organizes the rebellion against the evil empire of Palamecia. Leon (Maria’s brother) disappears after the prologue and later re-emerges as a dark knight serving the empire.

How to progress through the game:
In true Final Fantasy fashion, you and your pack of adventurers roam the creature-filled countryside in your quest to stop evil. Along the way, you encounter different towns and characters to interact with. Using the spells, information and items you obtain, you gain experience and improve your abilities. The game is divided into two completely unique and independent game stories that feature 80+ hours of game play.

Special powers/weapons/moves/features:
In Final Fantasy II, you can collect exciting weapons and spells, increase your group members and enhance each of their abilities. Among other enhancements, the game features improved battle and menu systems and improved item and magic effectiveness. You can also save your game wherever you are instead of having to go to a specific location.
